For the site team

The site records itself.

Your engineer, supervisor and store keeper record what happened on the phone in their hand — with no signal, if that is what the site gives them. It reaches the office as work against the same item your estimate uses, not as a photo on WhatsApp.

Why the team will actually use it

Built for one hand, in the sun, with a helmet on.

Site software usually dies because it asks a busy man to fill a form he does not have the numbers for. This one already has the numbers. He confirms them.

  • The home screen shows only the jobs that person is allowed to do on that project. Nothing else is on it.
  • The work item is already there with its required quantity and how much is done. He types today's figure and the balance moves as he types.
  • Go over the estimated quantity and a variation reason box opens right there — not a question asked three weeks later.
  • A photo is one tap, and it comes back with the location and the time already burnt onto it.
  • Submit. With no network it says Saved offline — will sync when online and he gets on with his day.

One screen per job, and the figures that screen needs are already loaded. That is the whole design.

The daily progress screen with two geo-stamped photos attached and no network — exactly how the app behaves.

No signal

A basement is not an excuse the app accepts.

Half the places your team works have no network — a basement, a bore-well site, a road job forty kilometres from the nearest tower. The app does not ask for one. It saves the entry on the phone, photos and all, and sends it the moment a network appears.

The rule we built it on: an entry is never lost and never silently half-sent. Either the whole thing reached the office, or it is still on the phone waiting, and the app says so.
See where it lands in the office
01
It is saved on the phone
The entry goes into the phone's own storage with its photos attached. The app says "Saved offline — will sync when online" and the man carries on. He does not have to keep the screen open, keep the app open, or come back to it.
02
It goes up on its own
The app watches for the connection coming back and sends everything that is waiting — nobody has to remember to tap Sync. A pending count sits on the header so anyone can see at a glance whether the phone still owes the office something.
03
A failed photo takes the whole entry back to the queue
If even one photo does not reach the server, the entry is put back with its photos and tried again later. You will never see a green "Submitted" on an entry whose photos quietly went missing — which is exactly how site evidence gets lost in other apps.
04
Anything stuck says why
The Sync screen lists what is still waiting, how many times it has been tried, and the exact reason the last attempt failed. You can tap a pending photo and see it full screen before it goes. Nothing fails silently.
Geo-tagged photos

A photo that can be used as a record.

A photo sent on WhatsApp proves nothing. It could be last month, it could be another site, and by the time it has been forwarded twice the date has gone. So the app burns the location and the time onto the image itself, the moment it is taken.

  • Latitude and longitude to six decimals, and the accuracy of the fix in metres — so you know whether it was ±8 m or ±60 m.
  • Date and time to the second, with the app's own name, on a second line.
  • The stamp text shrinks to fit the photo. A narrow shot never cuts off the coordinates — a half-printed "81.6298…" is worth nothing.
  • The same latitude, longitude and time also travel with the entry as numbers, not only as pixels, so the office holds them as data.
  • If the phone cannot get a fix in eight seconds the photo is still kept, and the strip says Location unavailable — honestly, rather than printing a wrong one.
  • Tap any thumbnail to check it full screen before submitting — right photo, readable stamp.

The check-in selfie is taken with the front camera and stamped the same way. Attendance you can stand behind, not a name written in a register.

The strip the app draws on every photo, at the bottom of the image, before it is uploaded. It cannot be separated from the picture afterwards.

What the team records

Six things the site can enter — and what each one already knows.

Each screen arrives with your own data already in it: your work items, your labour roster, your material list, your QC checklists. The man on site fills in what happened, not what already exists.

Daily progress

Pick the item and type what was done today — required, done so far and the balance are already on screen, and the balance updates as he types. Over-execute and it asks for the variation reason there and then. The rest of the day goes in too: weather, temperature, shift timings, skilled, unskilled and supervisor counts, labour by trade, machinery with hours and fuel, material received and consumed, hindrances with hours lost and who is responsible, safety observations, toolbox talk, visitors, and the plan for tomorrow.

QC checklist

The full checklist from your QC Master, on the phone, split into before work, during work and after work. Every point carries its acceptance criteria, and a hold point is marked HOLD in red. Tick the points, add a remark against any of them, and record the verified length, breadth and depth. Try to approve while a hold point is still unticked and the app stops and asks — which is the entire reason a hold point exists.

Labour attendance

The muster roster comes down from the office. One tap sets P, H or A against each labour, tap the same mark again to clear it, and "Mark all present" handles a normal day in one go. Overtime hours and a remark per person. A counter shows how many of the roster are marked before he submits, so nobody is missed at the bottom of the list.

Staff check-in

Two big buttons: Check IN and Check OUT. Each tap takes a front-camera selfie stamped with location and time, so the record is the person and the place, not a tick. The screen shows the day live — Absent until marked, then Present, and Half Day if the gap between in and out comes to under four hours.

Material inward

The challan, entered at the gate while the truck is still there. Date, invoice or challan number, vendor, then material lines picked from your own material list — the unit fills itself. Put in the rate if it is on the challan. Photograph the challan and the load. It reaches the store the same day instead of a fortnight later in a bundle of paper.

Site measurement

Nos × L × W × H rows against one work item, exactly like the Measurement Book on the desk. A blank dimension counts as 1, so "6 nos" on its own works for a count item. Row total and grand total update as he types, and the item's estimated quantity and SOR number are shown above so he is measuring against the right thing.

Who sees what

Each person sees only what you gave them.

You decide, from the office, which projects a person can open and what he can do inside each one. The setting is per project and per module, and it has three states.

  • None — the tile is not on his phone at all. He does not know the screen exists.
  • Read — he can open it and look. The tile is marked "view only" and the entry button does nothing.
  • Write — he can record. The tile is marked "entry".

The project list itself only shows projects that have been published to him. And the check is repeated on the server, so a tampered phone still cannot post to a project or a module it was never granted.

Where you set it: Team Members in the office app — pick the person, pick the project and sub-project, and set each module to none, read or write. The person's login is created on the same screen and you hand over the password.

How it reaches the office

It arrives as work, not as a message.

You publish the project once. The phone comes down with your work items and how much of each is already done, your labour roster, your material list, your QC checklists, your contractors and your team members — which is how it can show a balance and a checklist with no network. What the site sends back is filed into the right place on its own.

Daily progress → the DPR, and the item
Files as that day's Daily Progress Report, and each line lands on the same measurement item the estimate uses.
QC checklist → QC inspections
Every ticked point, every remark and the hold points are kept, so the record is the checklist, not a summary of it.
Labour attendance → the muster for that date
Sending the same day again corrects it. It does not create a second muster, so the wage register stays clean.
Check-in → employee attendance
The IN tap and the OUT tap merge into one row for that day — an evening OUT can never wipe out the morning IN.
Material inward → the store
Counts as received against the project, and feeds material reconciliation and the weighted-average rate.
Site measurement → the item in Project Control
Sits under the item it was measured against, where the office can open it beside the estimated quantity.
Nobody in the office has to press anything The desktop checks a few seconds after it is opened and then every ten minutes, and files whatever has come in.
Nothing arrives twice, nothing is dropped An entry is marked as taken only once it has actually been filed. If filing fails it stays in the queue for the next pass instead of vanishing.
Then the numbers move on their own Because today's quantity lands on the same item as the estimate, physical progress rolls up by value, earned value updates against your baseline, and the quantity can be pulled into an RA bill for a date range — without anybody retyping it.
This is the whole point. The site is not sending you a report to read. It is moving the same numbers your estimate, your programme and your bill already run on.
Everything in the site app

The full list, in one place.

Included with the same licence as the office app — there is no separate charge for putting the app on your team's phones.

Getting it on the phones

Android today.

The site app is an Android app, and it needs Android 8 or later — which covers the phones site teams actually carry. There is no iPhone build at the moment. If your team is on iPhones, say so on the demo call and we will tell you honestly where that stands rather than promise a date.

The office app is separate and runs on Windows and macOS. The site app on its own is not the product — it feeds the office app, so you need both.

Our engineer installs it on each phone during setup, signs each person in, and checks that a photo, a queued entry and a sync all work on the site's real network before he leaves.
