Install it now. Be on your own project in a few minutes.
Pick your machine below and the app is on it in one download. It runs on your own computer, with its own database, so a site office with no network keeps working.
Version — · released —. The download is free — you switch it on with the licence key we send you.
The card for the machine you are reading this on is marked Your device. Where a card says “ask us for the build”, that platform is issued on request — tell us on a demo call and we will send it to you the same working day.
What is in version this build
Each release brings new modules, report corrections and speed work. The exact list of changes for this version is shown to you inside the app before you accept the update.
Released recently. Releases are frequent — most of what goes into them comes from what users ask for while an engineer is sitting with them.
See everything in the appWhat your machine needs.
An ordinary office computer runs it. There is no server to buy, no database to set up and nothing for your IT person to configure.
| Item | What you need | Notes |

| Windows | Windows 10 or Windows 11, 64-bit | Installs for your user account, so you do not need an administrator password. |

| The site app | Android 8 or later | For the field team’s own phones. Works offline; photos carry location and time. |
| Memory | 4 GB RAM minimum, 8 GB recommended | Take the 8 GB if you keep drawings, the Gantt chart and a bill open together. |
| Free disk space | About 2 GB | Covers the app, the rate books, your project database and the backups it keeps beside it. |
| Screen | 1366 × 768 or larger | Wider helps on the Measurement Book sheet and the programme. |
| Internet | Only to activate, to update and to back up | The work itself needs no connection at all. |
Five minutes, and no IT department.

You land on Home with your name in the sidebar and an empty projects area. Press F1 on any screen after that and the built-in guide opens for exactly that screen, with every button on it explained.
You never install it a second time.
New modules and fixes arrive inside the app. You are shown what changed, you accept it, and it applies itself. Your projects are untouched.
Check whenever you like
The circular arrow in the top bar checks for a newer version. If there is one, you see what is in it and an Update Now button. If there is not, it says you are on the latest and stops there.
A few MB, not the whole app
An update carries only what changed — typically a handful of megabytes, so it goes through on a site connection. The full 146 MB installer is only for a fresh machine.
Signed and checked first
Every update is signed by us, and each file in it is verified against that signature before a single byte is written. Anything that does not match is refused.
A project is one file. Copy it and it opens anywhere.
Civil Limitless can keep a project as a single portable file on your disk — a .clproj — at a folder you choose. It behaves like a drawing file: once you have saved it, it keeps updating itself as you work.
Put that one file on a pen drive or in a shared folder, open it on the other machine, and the whole project comes across — sub-projects, measurements, rates, steel schedule and bills. Nothing is retyped.
-
01
Save Project AsChoose where the file should live — for example D:\Projects. From then on the app keeps that file in step with your work on its own.
-
02
Copy the file acrossPen drive, shared folder, email to your colleague — it is one ordinary file.
-
03
Open Project File on the other machineIf that project is already there it simply opens. If it is not, the app brings the whole thing in first and then opens it.
-
04
Or let Google Drive do itConnect your own Drive account and the app keeps a rolling backup there — your account, your folder. Restore it on the new machine and everything is back.
One key, one machine.
This is worth knowing before you install, so nobody is surprised on the second computer.
The key is tied to that computer
When you activate, the key binds itself to that machine. It is what stops one licence being passed around an office of twenty people.
A second machine needs its own key
Installing on your laptop as well as your desk? Ask your admin — or ask us — for a second key. The install itself is the same download.
Changed your computer?
Install on the new machine and ask for it to be approved. Your projects come across in the portable file or from your Drive backup.
Your site team does not install this one.
The desktop app is for the office — estimating, planning, billing. The site engineer, the supervisor and the store keeper get the Android app instead, on their own phones.
It records daily progress, QC checklists, labour attendance, material at the gate and measurements — with no signal at all — and sends everything up the moment a network appears. Each person sees only the projects and the modules you allow.
Downloaded it? Let us set it up on your work.
An engineer comes to your office, loads your rate book and your live projects, and trains each person on the part they use. You start with your app, not an empty one.
