About us

Built by the people who train site engineers.

Civil Guruji teaches construction engineers for a living. Civil Limitless is the software those engineers kept asking for — written, supported and set up in India.

Who we are

We teach this work. Then we had to build the tool for it.

Civil Guruji trains construction engineers — the people who take off quantities, hunt for the right SOR clause, raise RA bills and stand on site when the pour starts.

When you teach that work every day, you stop hearing about problems in general and start seeing the same six, over and over. The same quantity typed into three Excel files. A rate clause nobody can find in a 900-page PDF. A bill returned because one file was corrected and the other two were not. Steel cut by eye and the tails thrown away.

Civil Limitless is the answer to that list. It is built and supported in India, by people who have done the work themselves — and the engineer who comes to set it up at your office has run estimates and bills of his own, not a slide deck.

Civil Guruji — the training company
Our day job is teaching construction engineers how estimation, billing and site work are actually done.
Civil Limitless — the software
One app for the whole chain: rate books, measurements, BOQ, materials, steel, programme, site records and billing.
Made and supported in India
CPWD and state PWD rate books, GST, TDS 194C, retention, cum and sqm — the way work is measured and paid for here.
An engineer sets it up, not a link
Your rate book, your live projects and your bill formats are loaded for you before anyone is asked to use the app.

If the app is not right for your kind of work, we will say so on the first call. A licence you cannot use is worth nothing to either of us.

What we say on every first callCivil Limitless team
How the product is built

Nothing in here was designed in a meeting room.

The app grows the way a site grows — one real problem at a time, brought to us by somebody who was stuck on it that morning.

It grows from what users ask for

A large part of what is in the app today started as somebody telling us their job did not fit. A contractor who needed the credit side of a bill. A store keeper who wanted the reconciliation gap on screen from day one, not at handover. Tell us what is missing and it goes on the list.

New work arrives inside the app

Modules and fixes come to you as an in-app update. You see what changed before you apply it, and it takes a restart — not a reinstall, not a re-entry of your data, not a visit from anybody.

The engineering follows the code book

Consumption formulas, bar bending schedules and QC checklists are written to Indian standards and CPWD practice. Where a code gives a number, we use the code's number — not a developer's guess.

The standards sitting behind the numbers

IS 456 — plain and reinforced concrete
Cover, lap lengths and the concrete rules that the steel schedule and the concrete checklists are written to.
Steel · QC
IS 2502 — bar bending schedule
Hook lengths, bend allowances, cutting length by shape and the unit weight rule. 69 shapes ship ready to use, drawn from IS 2502 and BS 8666, and you can add your own.
Steel
IS 10262 — concrete mix design
M25 and above consume what a design mix actually gives, not a nominal volumetric ratio — so cement per cum comes out right instead of exceeding what the code allows. Nominal mixes are kept for the grades where the code still permits them.
Materials
CPWD specifications and the 2023 rate book
4,060 CPWD 2023 items ship inside the app, letter-suffixed clauses included, and the QC method statements are written to CPWD specification practice. State PWD books and your own rates load on top.
Rates · QC
Why this matters on a bill: a quantity is only as safe as the clause and the consumption norm behind it. If those follow the code, your abstract survives being checked.
What that adds up to

Six things you can check for yourself.

Every one of these is how the app behaves today — install it and see.

Security and your data

Your data sits on your computer, and it stays yours.

You are about to put your estimates, your rates and your client bills into one app. You are entitled to know exactly where all of it lives and what can reach it. Here is the whole answer, without dressing it up.

The app runs on your computer, and its database is encrypted there
Civil Limitless installs on your own Windows or Mac and keeps its database on that machine. That database file is encrypted, and the key is tied to the computer it was set up on — so a copy of the file lifted off the disk does not simply open somewhere else.
On your PC
It works offline — the cloud does only three jobs
A site office with one bar of signal keeps working: estimating, billing, reporting, everything. The internet is used to check your licence from time to time, to fetch updates, and to back up if you have switched backup on. Your project data is not needed online for the app to run.
Offline first
Backup goes to your Google Drive, not to ours
You sign in to your own Google account, in your own browser, and the app keeps a rolling backup in a folder called Civil Limitless Backups in your Drive. The backup file itself is encrypted. It is your account, your folder and your copy — you can open Drive and see it sitting there.
Your account
An update is verified before a single file is written
Update packages are cryptographically signed. Before applying one, the app checks the signature and then the checksum of every file inside the package. If either does not match, the update is refused and nothing on your machine is changed.
Signed
A whole project exports to one file you own
Save a project as a single project file — to a shared folder, a pen drive, wherever you like — and it keeps updating itself as you work, the way a drawing file does. Open that file on another computer and the project is there: items, measurements, steel, bills and all. No permission needed from us to move your own work.
Portable
Deleting something is not losing it
Anything deleted anywhere in the app goes to the Recycle Bin — a measurement item, an RA bill, a work order — and Restore puts the whole record back with the rows inside it and its original number. An accidental delete on a Friday evening is a two-click fix, not a weekend.
Recoverable
You decide who can see and who can change
A company account holds your team. Each person is allocated to the projects he works on, and on each of those projects you set every module to None, Read or Write. A site engineer can have Write on progress and QC and only Read on billing. A login is created only when you give that person an email address.
Per project
Two things we would rather you heard from us. A backup only protects you up to the last time it ran — switch the automatic backup on the day you start, not the day you need it. And Delete permanently in the Recycle Bin means exactly that: once it is used on a record, nobody, including us, can bring it back.
Working with us

Setting it up is our job, not yours.

Software fails in construction offices for one plain reason: nobody has a free week to set it up. So we do that part. A civil engineer from our team comes to your office, sees how your business actually runs, and hands you an app that already holds your work.

  • Your rate book, your item library and your live projects are loaded by us
  • Your bill format, GST and retention terms, work categories and stages are set up
  • Each person is trained on the part he uses — on your own project, not a demo file
  • Your site team gets the mobile app running on their own phones
A support engineer you can call
Someone who understands a running-account bill and a bar bending schedule — not a ticket queue reading from a script.
A written guide on every screen
Press F1 anywhere in the app and the manual opens on the screen you are looking at, with every button on it explained.
A 34-lesson course inside the software
Build one project end to end, in the order the work happens — in English, Hinglish or Hindi, so nobody on your team is left behind by the language.
Help when the work changes
Take on a new kind of job — a PWD contract, a housing project — and we help you set that up too.
Contact

Talk to an engineer, not a call centre.

Write to us with a question about your own kind of work and you will get an answer about your own kind of work. If you would rather see the app than read about it, book a demo — bring one of your estimates and we will run it through Civil Limitless while you watch.

Thirty minutes, no slides, no payment and no card. If it does not fit your office, we will tell you on that call.

Reach us

We reply the same working day. For setup at your office, mention your city and the kind of work you do — it helps us send the right engineer.

Now judge it on your own project.

Everything on this page is checkable. Install the app, or give us thirty minutes and one of your estimates.
